The Home Heating Index tool is an easy, online way to determine if your home qualifies for an audit that can ultimately help you earn energy efficiency incentives and rebates as part of Home Energy Performance available through the NHSaves® utility partners.
Along with these meaningful incentives, the program offers access to established contractor relationships and low-interest financing that contribute to savings of up to $6,000 in rebates on overall improvement costs.
Increased Benefits for Income Qualifying Eversource Customers
If you are an Eversource customer and your household income falls at or below 100 percent of the State Median Income, you may qualify for an enhanced version of the Home Energy Performance offering.

Eligible customers can receive no-cost services, including:
• Health and safety checks
• Air sealing and insulation upgrades

These improvements help reduce drafts, improve indoor air quality and lower your energy bills—all at no cost to you.

To apply, visit the NHSaves Income Verification Portal and submit proof of income (such as pay stubs, your W-2, a photo ID and your most recent electric bill). Once verified, an Eversource approved contractor will schedule your in-home energy audit to begin your upgrades.

If you participate in the Home Energy Performance program available through your NHSaves utility partners, a 2% annual percentage rate (APR) is now available for home energy efficiency improvement loans.
What can I use financing for?
If you qualify, your home energy efficiency improvement loan can be used for your program cost share in order to add insulation, air sealing and other approved energy efficiency updates to your home. Some additional measures may also be covered. Contact your utility for details.

About the Program
Your NHSaves utility partners, in partnership with local lenders, are offering a 2% APR home energy efficiency improvement loan to qualified customers for the following:
- Home Energy Performance home weatherization work that qualifies for Home Energy Performance rebates.
- This loan is for adding insulation, air sealing and other approved energy efficiency upgrades to your home.
- Some additional measures may also be covered. Contact your utility partner for details.
This is an unsecured loan offered by the lenders to program participants that are approved by the lender for the loan. This offer is valid for a limited time while funding is available.

How Do I Apply?
- You must be participating in the Home Energy Performance program.
- Contact your utility for a loan authorization form.
- Bring your loan authorization form and contractor quotes to any of our partner banks or credit unions.
- Your lending institution will determine whether you are eligible for the loan based on its own lending criteria.
